Due to the generous support of Texas customers in Green Mountain Energy Company’s Big Texas Sun Club®, a 10.08 kilowatt (kW) solar array was dedicated to the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi. The $50,000 check for the solar array was presented to the Aquarium on the 40^th anniversary of Earth Day and the array was dedicated soon after on June 14, 2010.

The array is expected to produce over 12,000 kWh of electricity every year, by converting sunlight into pollution-free energy. It will also educate visitors about the benefits and effect of solar energy. We are thrilled to be able to give back to the Corpus Christi community!
