The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History received a 10.2 kilowatt (kW) solar system in March, 2010, thanks to the generous donations of members of the Big Texas Sun Club®. The Green Mountain Energy® Solar at Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is the first solar array funded and built in Fort Worth by the Big Texas Sun Club. The array is expected to produce over 20,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of clean electricity annually, and help reduce the Museum’s carbon footprint by nearly 27,000 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2) each year! It is also incorporated into the Museum’s Solar Discovery exhibit and is helping educate tens of thousands of museum visitors about solar energy
