Ballroom Marfa, the non-profit cultural arts space that presents visual arts, film, music, and performances in Marfa, TX, is now utilizing the West Texas sunshine to generate its own clean electricity. Thanks to the generosity of members of the Big Texas Sun Club®, Ballroom Marfa is the proud owner of a 5.25 kW photovoltaic solar array. It is expected to provide approximately 15% of the facility’s annual electrical power requirements and offset approximately 13,700 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2) each year. That’s the equivalent of planting more than 800 trees or not driving 15,000 miles annually!
